Troop 26 meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm throughout the school year. The focus of our meetings is planned by the Patrol Leaders Council and coordinated by a Patrol with the assistance of a parent volunteer. In addition to working of Scouting skills and advancement requirements we schedule fun activities. Our meetings are held at our Scout Hut but once a month we travel to another location to take part in an activity such as rock climbing, go Karting, or rifle shooting. Use the MEETINGS menu to check the meetings section for this week's agenda. |

The Troop 26 community is proud to recognize Eric O. as our latest scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Good job Eric!
The fact that a boy is an Eagle Scout has always carried with it a special significance, not only in Scouting but also as he enters higher education, business or industry, and community service. The award is a performance based achievement. Not every boy who joins a Boy Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 5 percent of all Boy Scouts do so. This represents more than 1.7 million Boy Scouts who have earned the rank since 1912.
Notable Eagle Scouts include the first man on the moon-Neil Armstrong, the mayor of New York City- Michael Bloomberg, Former President of the United States -Gerald Ford, writer and producer of the Simpsons- George Meyer, and film director -Steven Speilberg among many others.
To earn the rank of Eagle a scout must progress through the scouting ranks, earn specific merit badges, demonstrate leadership skills and complete service projects.
