Troop 26 Website
Troop members with a registered website user account have access to additional information and privileges to add articles and photographs to the website. Contact the webmaster to activate your user account.
Our website provides Troop 26 members with information we need to be active members of the Troop and advance through the Scouting ranks. Be sure to check the website often for announcements and information concerning upcoming events and changes throughout the scouting year. When a troop member signs into the website with their user account they gain access to restricted sections of the website, can subscribe to the weekly news letter and have privileges to add photographs and information.
The primary feature of our new site is that all troop members: scouts, parents, leaders, and volunteers can easily add content to the website directly from their own computer by using their browser, no special program or training is required.
Everyone can view the public areas of our website. Troop members who have a registered user account can sign in and add photos to the troop photo albums, create notices and permission slips for a troop event they are coordinating, write an article of interest to the troop, etc. They also have access to areas of the website that are restricted to the general public.
With current information provided directly by the troop members our website will become a more useful means of communication to our members and provide easy access to the up-to-date information, forms and documents required for involvement in the troop and advancement in Scouting.
Your suggestions and comments as to modifications and additions are welcome. The structure and content of the site should reflect your interests and needs. The design of the site makes it easy to add or delete sections, change the look, etc. So email comments & suggestions to the webmaster
AND while you’re at it ask that your user account be set up so you can add your photos of troop events and access non-public areas of the site. A site username and password will be emailed back to you.
PLUS, free your inner blogger and request a higher user level so you can contribute more to the site. The user levels are:
- Registered User: Access to non-public sections and can add photos to the website.
- Authors: Can submit photos and articles (and edit your own articles).
- Editors: Adds the ability to edit all articles.
- Publishers: Adds the ability to “publish” articles (submitted articles cannot be seen on the website until they are published.)
